Description

This edition of "The Future of the Arab Education Magazine" is the second part of the 24th issue of January - Volume 27, and includes six studies as following:
                        First study: by Prof. Amani El Sayed Gabbour presents a proposed vision to develop the competitiveness of Egyptian universities using the Blue Ocean strategy. The study used the descriptive methodology and presented the theoretical underpinnings of the Blue Ocean strategy, together with explanation of the philosophical propositions of the term competitiveness in universities and the most important requirements.
The study concluded by presenting a proposal to develop the competitiveness of Egyptian universities using the Blue Ocean strategy and developing a mechanism to follow up on the implementation of the proposed concept, which includes continuous follow-up through the semi-annual reports.
Second study: by Dr. Hiba Gharib Mohammed, a comparative study of the requirements of achieving excellence in research performance at the University of Suez and the University of King Saud. The study was based on a comparative methodology. At the end of the study, proposed measures were submitted to activate the requirements for achieving excellence in research performance at the University of Suez.
The study included the establishment of research centres for the unique departments of the university and the proposal to establish a national research and service centre; it includes research of a national breadth, the establishment of the Media and Marketing Unit at the university, with an increase in applied research, and other procedural recommendations.
Third study: by Dr Al Adham Al-Lwaish Al Shemari, and aims at knowing practicality of the leaders of the Governmental Schools in their performance at the Qassim region guided by the introduction of electronic management.
The study is based on the descriptive methodology using the questionnaire tools. The study concluded with a proposal to develop the administrative operations of the Public Secondary School Leaders in the Qassim region guided by introducing electronic management.
The most important recommendations were to make use of competent experts in administrative processes and shifting to electronic management, and focus on the shifting to computer culture, with the development of an announced and time-bound operational plan to start the application of electronic management.
Fourth study: by Dr. Omar Ali Al-Rafaia, which aims to identify the motives behind the professional commitment of teachers in Jordanian private schools, and how far the responses of the study sample members were affected by gender, the educational level and the practical experience. The study relied on the descriptive methodology and its questionnaire tools, and concluded with a set of recommendations.
The most important of these recommendations is teaching and focusing on finding professional standards that help guide the performance of teachers in action and establishing a real partnership between the Ministry of Education and the Teachers Union to support the vocational education process. The aims also include developing indicators and performance standards for private education and schools to supers profit-making goals from dominating the humanitarian aspects of the educational process.
Fifth study: by Mrs. Nehad Kamal Faheem Abdel Samie, et al. The study is based on the descriptive methodology, and a questionnaire as a tool. The study aims to highlight the relationship of rejection sensitivity, feeling of perfection and some psychological disorders of the university student. The study concluded that there was a clear statistical link between the sensitivity of rejection, feeling of perfection and the psychological disorders of university students.
Study six: by Mrs. Marwa Ismat Shawkat Ahmed, et al. It aims to find out the effectiveness of a program based on the model of learning dimensions in developing literature taste skills among secondary school students. The study is based on the descriptive methodology, and the study concluded with the effectiveness of the program based on the learning dimension model in developing some literature taste skills.
            In the chapter dedicated or university researches, a doctoral dissertation presented by researcher Hanan Mostafa Mohammed Kafafi, titled the Scientific Productivity of Al-Azhar University’s Academic Staff and the Factors Affecting the Same (An Educational Analytical Study).
