Reality Of Excellence Management In Faculties Of Education In Saudi Universities According To The European Excellence Model

This study aims to build a suggested concept for applying the Excellence Management in the Faculties of Education in Saudi universities according to the European Excellence Model, by answering the main question, “What is the proposed concept of EFQM in Faculties of Education in Saudi universities according to the EFQM Model?”.
The study population consisted of faculty members at colleges of education in each of KSU, UQU, and KFU. It was applied to a random sample representing 50% of the faculty members in each college.
A two-part questionnaire was used to collect the study data; the first included the primary data, and the second consisted of two variables. The first is the degree of education colleges application of EFQM Model, which included five dimensions: (leadership, strategy, human resources, partnerships and resources, processes and services, results).The second addressed the requirements to activate the application of these standards.
The results showed that the study sample agreed that the degree of application of EFQM according to the European excellence model is high. Leadership standard came in first, followed by human resources with a (high) degree, strategy came in 3rd with a (high) degree, and partnerships and resources and the standard of operations and services came in 4th with (medium) approval, and results criterion came in last with (medium) approval. The results also showed that the study sample agreed about the requirements with a high degree. In light of the results, the study presented a suggested concept for applying the Excellence Management according to the EFQM model in Faculties of Education in Saudi universities.
