Body Image and its Relation to Quality Of Life among Blind and Non-Blind Adolescent Students

Abstract
            The present study aimed to reveal the relationship of body image to the quality of life of blind and non- blind adolescent students. The study sample consisted of 100, of whom 40 were blind students in Al-Nour and Al-Amal Schools in the governorates of Suez, Port Said and Ismailia, and 60 non blind students in Manshiyat Al-Rajoula Preparatory School and Al-Haditha School high school girls. The Body Image Scale, Farouk Abdel Fattah Moussa, and the Quality of Life Scale, Bashir Arnout, were applied. The results found a relationship between body image and quality of life in blind and non-blind adolescent girls. The results also indicated that there are differences between blind and non-blind adolescent girls in the quality of life scale, and the results also found no differences between blind and non-blind adolescent girls in the body image scale.
